chan centre for the performing artsest. Sep 2024
Vancouver, BC
No one was watching our stuff - college students are more into pop and r&b than classical and alternative performances. The Chan Centre needed content that would showcase the unique experience of live performance while appealing to both existing patrons and new audiences, as well as connecting with the campus it is situated in.
The goal was to create engaging, platform-native content that highlighted artists, performances, and the venue's cultural impact.
I revived our socials by producing community-centered content on Instagram and TikTok, transforming the audience atmosphere of a live performance into engaging short-form videos.
This included:
Concert highlights
Performance previews
Artist spotlights
Event promotion content
Behind-the-scenes coverage
My student-first content strategy saw a record in post shares. As a result, we saw a 65% increase in social engagement throughout the season, including one video that reached 300k+ views.
Overall, I’m so grateful that I was able to contribute to digital marketing efforts for a diverse range of concerts, cultural programs, and community events.
